Starlight Night Vision Rearview Camera with 480x1080 Resolution for External Mounting

This HD Night Vision Waterproof Light External Hanging Starlight Night Vision Rearview Camera gives drivers a clear, bright view of the area behind their vehicle when reversing or parking, even in total darkness. With a 480x1080 resolution and LED light options ranging from 4 to 18.5, the camera works as a practical parking aid for cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles. Its compact 13 x 8 x 5 cm size and general vehicle compatibility make it a straightforward upgrade for reversing visibility.

Features and Construction

Built for external use, this camera combines useful night vision with multiple configuration choices to suit different vehicle types and personal preferences.

Material and Build

The camera housing is made from ABS, a lightweight and impact-resistant plastic that copes well with weather exposure. A power rating of 3.3W and waterproof design support external hanging on the rear of the vehicle, where it can function reliably in rain and road spray without internal fogging.

Size and Practical Fit

Measuring 13 by 8 by 5 centimetres, the camera is compact enough to fit onto most rear bumpers, tailgates, or number plate mounts. It is classified as suitable for general vehicles, meaning it can be attached to hatchbacks, saloons, SUVs, and vans with the correct wiring connection.

Uses and Placement

This camera addresses the common need for safer reversing and parking, especially when the rear view is obstructed or when operating in dark conditions.

Event or Professional Use

For tradespeople and commercial drivers who regularly reverse into tight loading bays or park at night, the starlight night vision and LED lights give a clear rear image on the in-car display. This reduces the risk of misjudging distances when hitching trailers or reversing near obstacles.

Everyday Home Use

Private owners fitting this camera to a family car or daily driver benefit from improved rear visibility when parking on unlit streets, in driveways, or at night. The 480x1080 resolution shows kerbs, bollards, and children or pets behind the vehicle more clearly than a standard reversing camera without supplementary lighting.

Benefits and Buying Value

The practical benefit of this camera is that it turns a standard car into one with enhanced reversing capability, using readily available parts and a simple external mount.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

Once wired to the reverse light circuit, the camera activates automatically each time reverse gear is selected. The ABS shell and waterproof construction reduce the need for regular cleaning or adjustment, provided the lens is kept free of dirt.

Why Choose This Product

With a choice of 4, 8, 12, or 18.5 LED options in either bare metal or full kit form, buyers can select the light output and bracket type that best matches their vehicle and preferred mounting method. The starlight sensor and 480x1080 resolution are the key technical advantages over basic cameras without integrated lighting.
