7 Inch Car Reversing Display LCD Monitor with Bluetooth and Mirror Link

This 7 inch car reversing display is built for drivers who want a clearer rear view and more in-car media options from one dashboard unit. It combines a 7 inch LCD touch screen with a video input for a compatible reversing camera, Bluetooth hands-free calling, Bluetooth music playback and Mirror Link. The screen has an appearance size of 100 x 178 mm and is listed with 800 x 480 or 1024 x 600 resolution. It supports NTSC and PAL systems, a 27 MHz bandwidth and a VIDEO input signal. The black plastic housing fits a range of vehicles because the applicable models are stated as all. A card-type remote control, TF card slot, USB 2.0 port, AUX audio input and FM radio with 18 station presets are also part of the specification, making this a practical single-unit option for reversing, calls, radio and media playback.

Features and Construction

The main functions cover reversing video, hands-free calls, music playback and screen mirroring. The unit uses a dedicated DSP chip for decoding lossless and lossy audio formats, with hardware electronic sound effect processing and multiple EQ modes. A 24Bit DAC is included for digital-to-analogue conversion, and the screen is a 7 inch LCD touch panel with a dynamic menu interface.

Material and Build

The housing is made from plastic, as stated in the source data, and the unit is finished in black. The front panel uses a 7 inch LCD touch screen with a dynamic menu interface. The controls include a knob for volume adjustment and SEL buttons for electronic volume, treble, bass, left and right balance, and front and rear sound fields. A loudness switch is also listed. The product uses a brand new processing chipset for response speed, stable performance and function handling, and the card-type remote control adds operation away from the main unit.

Size and Practical Fit

The screen size is 7 inches and the appearance size is 100 x 178 mm. The unit is listed for all applicable models and supports NTSC and PAL systems, so it can be used with compatible video sources in different regions. The VIDEO input signal allows connection to a reversing camera. The compact dimensions and black plastic body suit dashboard or in-car installation where a separate display is required. The source data does not state a mounting method, so installation should follow the supplied instructions and the vehicle's fitting requirements.

Uses and Placement

The display can be used for reversing assistance when connected to a compatible camera, for hands-free calls over Bluetooth, for music playback from a phone or storage device, and for FM radio listening. It also supports Mirror Link for compatible phones. The AUX audio input accepts audio from MP3 players, GPS devices, mobile phones and Walkman units.

Event or Professional Use

In a professional or event vehicle, the 7 inch screen can display video from a connected camera or media source. The remote control allows operation from a distance, and the FM radio with automatic scanning and 18 station storage provides quick access to broadcasts. The unit supports folder playback, classified storage, free selection and display list, which helps when organising large numbers of files. Random play, repeat all, repeat single and repeat directory are also supported. These functions are useful when the display is used as a secondary media screen in a van, shuttle or service vehicle.

Everyday Home Use

For everyday driving, Bluetooth hands-free calling and Bluetooth music playback reduce the need to handle a phone while on the road. Mirror Link can show a compatible phone screen on the 7 inch LCD panel. The USB port supports high current output and can charge mobile phones, and the TF card slot plus USB 2.0 interface with hot swap make it easy to swap media. The AUX input connects a portable music player or GPS unit. The unit also browses JPEG and other picture formats, so it can display images stored on compatible media.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main value comes from combining reversing video input, Bluetooth calling, media playback and radio in one 7 inch display. The source data lists support for a wide range of audio and video formats, including APE, FLAC, WAV, DIS, MP3, WMA, ACC, OGG, RA, AC3, MP2 and AMR audio, plus AVI, MP4, FLV, PMP, RM, RMVB and MPG video. The 24Bit 96KHz WAV support is stated to exceed CD music resolution.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The TF card slot, USB 2.0 interface and AUX input allow repeated use with different media sources without changing the unit. USB supports high current output for charging mobile phones, and the hot swap function means compatible drives can be connected or removed without shutting down. The remote control provides an alternative to touching the screen. Keeping the plastic housing and LCD screen clean with a soft dry cloth is a low-risk way to maintain appearance; the source data does not list any specialist care instructions.
